| APPLES and CHERRIES Local Cherry Season is approximately mid-June to mid-July. Local Apple Season commences in September and runs a few weeks into November. Check back here for Produce reports and available varieties during the season. CHERRY FESTIVAL 2010 June 19th, 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. June 20th, 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. The Cherry Festival is held the third weekend of June each year. APPLE FESTIVAL 2010 October 16th, 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. October 17th, 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. The Apple Festival is held the third weekend of October each year. Our tip: Go early to the Festivals to avoid serious waiting for a parking spot. Be out of your car and at the booths by 9 .am. Come to the Old Apple Barn, 1 mile up Hwy 82, for lunch! ABOUT THE FESTIVALS The High Rolls/Mountain Park Lions Club hosts these two festivals each year. Proceeds from the festivals further the High Rolls/Mountain Park Lions Club philanthropic activities. The festivals are located at the High Rolls/ Mountain Park Community Center, only one mile from the Old Apple Barn. |
